11-year-old boy dedicates every Saturday to giving baths to stray dogs to help them get adopted

It’s inspiring to see kids helping animals.

It’s even more moving when kids help homeless animals who need a little more love and care.

Thiago, an 11-year-old boy from Brazil, dedicates every Saturday to giving baths to homeless dogs to help make them more available for adoption.

The project is called “Sou de rua mas to limpinho,” which translates to “I’m homeless but I’m clean.” Every Saturday, the boy spends his time to taking stray dogs, giving them a bath, and sharing a photo of the newly-cleaned dog on the internet to help them find their forever homes.

His father, Eduardo, is the homeless dog’s official photographer. He takes the photos because it raises the chance for the animals of being adopted. They have given baths to around 50 homeless animals so far.

They are so into their project that they adjusted their plan and started giving baths to new shelter dogs through animal shelter NGO Noah’s Ark.

Many of the dogs got adopted thanks to Thiago and his father.

The boy hopes that the project will inspire other people to pay attention to rescue dogs, so that they will get adopted more often. He believes adopting a stray dog is the best thing in the world. Dogs are not just toys. They are beings who also want to give us love and compassion.
