The staff at Tacugama Chimpanzee Sanctuary (TCS) look after two rescued chimps, Tigo and his sister, Linda.
Linda and Tigo had been caged for years by a family in Sierra Leone. Unluckily, such cases with exotic animals are very common. But soon Sierra Leone’s National Protected Area Authority picked up the two chimpanzees this year and transported them to TCS. In this sanctuary are located chimps that can’t thrive in the wild.
Linda is a very playful chimpanzee and likes to swing on the ropes of her enclosure or build nests.
Tigo, in its turn, likes to tell various stories about their day but unfortunately, we don’t understand their language.
If only we could know their language how many stories we would discover about animal lives.
More information about these funny chimpanzees could be found on the Facebook page of Tacugama Chimpanzee Sanctuary.
