In an emotional reunion, a dog that has been lost for eight years knows his owner right away.

Stevie Rodger started it all in 2012 when he left his two dogs, Kavik and Konan, in the yard while he went inside. His creatures managed to get through the fence and flee.

The guy searched all night and learnt from his neighbors that the dogs had gone into a sheep pasture owned by a farmer friend of his, so he fired a rifle at them. Konan died instantly, while Kavik was injured and fled into the woods. For months, Stevie’s family has been looking for a pet, posting orientation fliers and offering a reward for any information regarding Kavik, but to no effect.

The owners have posted their phone numbers for contact on social media in response to the tragedy.

“Kavik is a typical daddy’s dog, so if a stranger calls him, he might not come.” Please phone one of these lines if you spot a dog and tell us where he was sighted. He is terrified and may require medical treatment, according to the post. The hope of locating Kavik faded with each passing day. Stevie received a phone call eight years after her abduction. An unknown man claimed to have seen a dog that looked like Kavik in Birmingham, which is over 500 kilometers away from his house. The dog was just like the picture on the internet, except he was terribly malnourished.

Stevie took off right away. He drove for four hours in the hopes of finding his lost companion. It wasn’t in vain that the man traveled such a great distance — it was he, his beloved Kavik! When he stared at the owner, tears welled up in his eyes. The dog ran up to Stevie and began licking his face, as if they hadn’t been apart for eight years. The encounter turned out to be really moving. For a long time, Stevie couldn’t believe his eyes.

He’d given all hope of ever finding Kavik, and today seemed surreal. The infant was transported to the veterinarian. He was underweight and dehydrated, according to the assessment. In addition, the veterinarian discovered a little development on the dog’s back that would need to be removed shortly. Kavik, on the other hand, was in pretty good health for someone who had lived on the streets for eight years. The dog lay in bed close to the owner the first night, reluctant to leave him even for a minute. It will take a long time for him to fully recover. Now is the time to gently gain weight while avoiding stress. The proprietors of Kavik, on the other hand, are prepared for any complications. They refer to the return of the pet as a “Christmas miracle” and are overjoyed at what has occurred.
